The most challenging material recycling
The Construction and demolition (C&D) waste stream account for about 1/3 of the total municipal solid waste (MSW).
Construction and demolition waste is mostly massive solid waste. It is generally in the process of construction, maintenance, and demolition of old buildings. Therefore its basic composition is the same. Generally speaking, mainly consists of soil, slag, concrete pile head, metal, and wood.
Transport the construction waste without treatment around the city or suburbs. Either in open piles or in simple landfills. The construction waste is too huge. Since then, the huge construction clutter challenges the landfill capacity of many cities. A significant percentage of the C&D material stream is made up of small pieces. To then separate the majority of metals, some recycling systems hand sort these materials. However, it is inefficient and produces low recovery. The huge construction waste is too difficult to hand sorting.
The materials used in construction such as wood, brick and clay tiles, gypsum drywall, and metal can be repurposed. Some materials, such as concrete, asphalt/asphalt shingles, and glass also recyclable part. It is noteworthy that with the development of the sorting solution and improve. Almost 90% of C&D waste is “misplaced resources”.
EJETMAGNET supplies a simple and effective automated sorting solution for you
The first step is preliminary screening. Adopt a powerful electromagnetic lifter to transport construction steel chips and scraps. At the same time, manual hand sorting of these middle-size materials.
The second step is crushing. Heavy materials crushed to small size. Then trommel screen utilizes physical size separation to middle size, bigger size. And oversize materials re-crush. At the same time, the air separator technology separates light material.
The third step is magnetic separation. Recovery non-ferrous, stainless steel, ferrous, and so on. Eddy current separator removes non-ferrous. The induction sorting system also uses air eject separate for all metals, accurately optimized for stainless steel and copper wires. The suspension magnet, block magnet, and drum magnets are continuously running to tramp and automatically remove ferrous metal.
The last step is the classification of different materials.
