Trommel Screen
As a usually cylindrical or conical revolving screen , used in a variety of applications for screening or sizing such as ASR or other residue like MSW and recovery of valuable minerals from raw rock, ore, or coal.
Description
A trommel screen is a mechanical screening machine used to separate materials, mainly in the mineral and solid-waste processing industries.
Principle
It consists of a perforated cylindrical drum that is normally elevated at an angle at the feed end. Physical size separation is achieved as the feed material spirals down the rotating drum(The tumbling action also allows maximum contact time with the screen so that the fine material gets through quickly). where the undersized material smaller than the screen apertures passes through the screen, while the oversized materials exit at another end of the drum.
Features
Robust, heavy-duty construction allows a wide variety of materials to be screened effectively.
Solid drive system ensures maximum trommel drive, efficiency, uptime and continuity of performance.
Hard wearing drum retaining wheels to secure the drum
Easy inspection and maintenance access to drive wheels.
Internal roller screen mesh accessories are designed in separate parts, with simple structure, stable operation and convenient maintenance.
Adopt special quality screen, high screening efficiency, bearing and water, material separation, to avoid the damage caused by pollution rust.
Long-life polyurethane wheels
Application:
Trommel screens are used for screening a wide range of materials such as: slag, mixed construction waste, cardboard-paper, plastics, timber, soil, coal, river sand, ore, waste etc.
